Castle Montessori Schools announces the groundbreaking of their fourth school in Frisco, Texas at 5050 Legendary Drive across from the Stonebriar Church. The new, state-of-the-art 18,000 square foot facility will have a capacity to serve over 250 children from 18 months of age to third grade and is scheduled to open October 2010. Apart from fully equipped classrooms, the facility will also feature a vaulted lobby and atrium, porte-cochere, a music room with baby grand piano, library, computer lab, indoor gymnasium, three outdoor playgrounds and a security camera monitoring system.
Founded by Vikas and Varsha Patel, Castle Montessori Schools were established to provide an alternative to traditional daycare or childcare providers and to meet the growing demands of parents seeking a Montessori-based, curriculum-oriented approach to early childhood education. Despite the recent economic downturn, the schools continue to thrive and have received national recognition for educational excellence on CNN, CNBC, MSNBC, and FOX News among others.
“Our mission is to provide families with the highest quality, Montessori education for each child by employing world-class, certified teachers and providing newly built, upscale facilities,” says Varsha Patel.
“The growth and success of our schools is primarily a function of the passion and dedication our people have for children,” says Vikas Patel. “We also have an open door policy and actually listen to the families we serve in order to insure that the quality and reputation of our schools is being upheld proactively on a daily basis.”
The Montessori teaching method is a child-centered educational method based on the life work of educator Dr. Maria Montessori. This method is characterized by emphasizing self-directed activity on the part of the child and clinical observation on the part of the teacher. Students learn about leadership and time management as early as age three and most graduate Castle Montessori Schools well above their grade level.
