Before / After School

Optional Child Care

To meet the needs of working parents, we offer before school care (7:00am – 8:15am) and after school care (3:30pm – 6:30pm) year round for all of our preschoolers.  For select campuses, we also offer after school care and transportation from surrounding elementary schools for our elementary age students.  These are nonacademic programs that provide extra curricular activities, supervised free time, and quiet time for relaxation and snacks. Homework time will also be made available for students in elementary schools.

Free Time

Free time will consist of outside recess time (weather permitting), indoor activities and games, computer time, art projects, and music time. The free time activities will not be instructional, but more for fun and entertainment.

Snacks

Each student will be provided with a snack upon arrival for after school care.

Homework

Elementary age students will be given one hour to complete their homework. We will emphasize that the students complete their homework as much as possible during this time. Our teachers will help guide the students with their homework; however, parents are still encouraged to review their children’s homework. For those students that may not have homework, we will ask them to read quietly or participate in a quiet activity for an hour.

Transportation From Elementary Schools

We provide transportation for children in the after school program from nearby elementary schools. Please check directly with our school to determine if your child’s elementary school is serviced by our bus routes.

School Holiday Inservice Program

Castle Montessori will allow their after school elementary age students to participate in the school holiday inservice program at a $35.00 fee per day.
